WHO YOU ARE

  • You have at least 4 years of relevant kitchen experience working in a high volume, full service restaurant with at least $2 million in revenue

  • You have at least 2 years of relevant experience working in a leadership role

  • You are able to navigate fluently through recipes and teach them to others

  • You have advanced knife skills

  • You understand many different cooking techniques including braising, sautéing, confiting, pickling

  • You have thorough knowledge of food safety practices

  • You have a heartfelt passion for food, service and hospitality

  • You are a people person that feels energized when communicating with our crew and guests

  • You are passionate about nurturing a culture of mutual respect and appreciation for hard work and achievement

  • You are a teacher at heart and thrive on helping others learn new skills and fulfill their potential

YOUR JOB

As the Kitchen Manager, you are responsible for ensuring our crew and guests have exceptional experiences at Burgatory. Your duties include:

  • Controlling all aspects of the back of the house

  • Teaching and coaching your team and allowing them to learn new skills to fulfill their potential

  • Developing your Assistant Managers

  • Ensuring our crew has a clean, safe and positive environment to work in

  • Ensuring our food and food handling practices are 100% safe

  • Ensuring food quality is a top priority for the entire team

  • Inspiring our crew daily to take pride in creating thoughtfully scrumptious food

  • Fostering teamwork between the front of the house and the back of the house

  • Recruiting, training and supporting our crew members

  • Promoting programs that positively impact profitability

  • Monitoring labor daily to ensure an optimum level of productivity

  • Supporting our charitable efforts and being a positive representative in our communities

  • Providing accurate information and communication throughout our organization

HELPFUL SKILLS

  • Microsoft Office

  • Aloha POS

  • HotSchedules

  • Food Safety Certification

  • Capable of lifting 50 pounds

  • Capable of being on your feet for extended periods
