  • Our Assistant Kitchen Managers at Burgatory are behind our thoughtfully scrumptious, award-winning meals! You are responsible for ensuring our guests and crew have exceptional experiences at Burgatory by:

    • Actively managing the kitchen, assisting crew with preparation of proteins, vegetables, and other food items using our grills, fryers, flattops, steam wells and various other equipment with an emphasis on quality, consistent presentation and timeliness

    • Checking stations to ensure they are stocked, organized, and cleaned appropriately

  • You report directly to the General Manager as a leader in our organization and work alongside our Corporate-Level Bar Team to offer feedback and spearhead promotions. You are responsible for ensuring our guests and crew have exceptional experiences at Burgatory -

  • As the Accounting Clerk, you report directly to the Controller. You maintain our payroll and accounting functions including tax statuses, banking information, invoices, and A/P invoices. You will consult with the HR Director, Controller and managers to ensure data is accurate and received in a timely manner. Specifically, you will:

    • Process Accounts Payable including entering invoices, printing checks and filing

    • Enter daily sales and receivables for all restaurants

    • Assist the payroll department through internal record keeping systems and reporting

    • Enter journal entries and assist with Month End close

    • Enter and file A/P invoices.

    • Print weekly A/P check runs

  • Our Burgatory Behind the Brand Program is a flexible and immersive 6-week internship focused on providing real-world experience to folks with a passion for hospitality and an advanced degree in the business sphere (i.e. Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources or Sales).

    Our programs are designed to be a stepping stone, offering real-world experience that you can leverage in your career. The Marketing Behind the Brand Internship provides exposure to day-to-day tasks, ad hoc reporting and strategic thinking to equip you with the tools you will use in marketing-related fields. You will glean instruction from key players in this industry, including one-on-one time with our Marketing and HR Director. You will also have the opportunity to present stretch projects to our Executive Leadership.

  • As the Accounting Clerk, you report directly to the Controller and work cross-functionally with the HR Director. You maintain our payroll, RAMP certifications and accounting functions including tax statuses, banking information, invoices, A/P invoices and check runs. Specifically, you will:

    • Maintenance record keeping documents including vacation accrual, healthcare reports, raises and garnishments

    • Record payroll data in our software system, consult managers if discrepancies are present, and verify all amounts prior to cutting checks

    • Prepare and distribute checks to restaurant locations, pick up mail & paperwork from the locations

    • Change employee banking and taxation records when necessary to process payments accurately

    • Record employee complaints, questions and concerns about payroll services and communicate those issues to HR

    • Maintain compliant policies and procedures for processing payroll checks

    • Work closely with HR Director and management teams to ensure employee files are up to date

  • The Accounting & HR Trainee reports to the Controller and HR Director. This semester-long training program will give you exposure to back office functions in a mid-size business including payroll, accounting, finance and data management. During the first month, you will learn the function of the Accounting Clerk. You will then shift into an analytical role, assisting HR with projects. You will have the opportunity to spearhead projects and pitch your ideas to the members of the Executive Team. The tentative outline of this program is outlined below.

    • Learn how to run a payroll from start to finish, including importing time-keeping cards, scrubbing data, verifying accuracy and cutting checks.

    • Maintenance internal record keeping documents including vacation accrual, healthcare reports and raises and garnishments

    • Alter employee tax status as needed as well as any information about withholding
